Metabo takes its name from the Metallbohrdreher, a hand drill designed by Albrecht Schnizler in his parents' bakery in 1923. Schnizler and Julius Closs founded Schnizler GmbH in Nürtingen on 19 February 1924 to develop the idea into a toolmaking business.

Across the following century, Metabo grew from drilling equipment into professional power tools for metalworking, construction and renovation. Its history follows the transition from manual and mains-powered machines to increasingly capable portable systems.

The current catalogue includes drills, grinders, saws, sanders, fastening tools, dust extraction and specialist metalworking equipment. LiHD batteries and participation in the Cordless Alliance System support a shared cordless platform across Metabo and compatible specialist manufacturers.

Power-Hub carries Metabo across professional power-tool and accessory categories. The live category ranking below highlights the strongest areas of the current range, followed by five featured products available through the store.
