PCE, or PC Electric, began in 1973 with the manufacture of CEE industrial plugs and sockets. The Austrian business adopted the PCE name in 1984 and has developed into an international electrical group centred on robust power connection and distribution.

Product milestones include the TWIST connector with a self-tightening cable gland in 1999 and the POWER TWIST range for 63A and 125A CEE connections in 2006. Later systems added tool-free terminal technologies, cable reels, protective devices and updated single-phase connector families.

The present catalogue spans industrial and domestic-format plugs and sockets, combination units, mobile and fixed distribution, extension leads, cable reels, switches and EV-charging products.
