PCL, or Pneumatic Components Limited, was founded in Sheffield in 1938 when the company's first pressure gauges were designed and manufactured. That engineering base developed into a specialist business for measuring, controlling and distributing compressed air.

The brand became familiar in garages, tyre shops, workshops, factories and petrol forecourts. In 2011 PCL joined the HORNGROUP alongside TECALEMIT, extending its international reach while retaining its Sheffield headquarters and manufacturing identity.

PCL's catalogue includes handheld and electronic tyre inflators, pressure gauges, couplings, plugs, hose, reels, air tools, air treatment and fixed forecourt systems.
