Allen & Heath began in 1969 at the centre of London's developing live-music and recording scene. Its early team hand-built mixing consoles for leading bands of the period, including Genesis, Pink Floyd and The Who.

That custom-console heritage developed into production mixers for touring, venues, studios, DJs and broadcasters. The company also began producing dedicated installation-audio products in the mid-1990s, extending its engineering into commercial and public spaces.

Today's range includes dLive, Avantis, SQ and Qu digital mixing systems, Xone DJ mixers, analogue desks, stage boxes, personal monitoring and AHM installation matrix processors. Products are designed and specified at Allen & Heath's headquarters in Cornwall with input from working sound engineers.
