Brand heritage and specialisms
Estwing was founded in Rockford, Illinois, in 1923 by Ernest Estwing. The city's manufacturing heritage and its Swedish immigrant community influenced the company from the beginning, a connection still reflected in the blue and yellow colours of the Estwing identity.
The brand became closely associated with one-piece forged-steel striking tools, including claw hammers, geological tools and axes. In 2001 it introduced its patented Shock Reduction Grip, designed to improve comfort and reduce the vibration transmitted during repeated impacts.
Selecting an Estwing tool starts with the job: head pattern and weight, face type, handle length, balance, grip material and the striking or levering application all matter. Specialist masonry, roofing, geological and outdoor tools should be matched to their intended materials and safe working method.
Power-Hub carries Estwing across hammers, axes, pry bars and specialist hand-tool categories. The live ranking below will show the most strongly represented current areas, followed by five relevant products available through the store.
