TengTools began in 1985 when founder Henri Tengvall identified mechanics’ need for hand tools and storage that could work together as a coherent system. The name combines Tengvall’s surname with the Japanese Tengu figure represented in the brand’s distinctive logo.

The company established a UK warehouse in 1988 and a manufacturing base in Taiwan in 1989, before presenting the brand internationally at the Cologne Trade Show. From there it expanded into Scandinavian and other global markets, building its position around professional hand tools and workshop organisation.

The Get Organised concept is central to TengTools. Tool sets are supplied in modular TC trays designed to fit together inside compatible storage, enabling users to build a customised kit while making missing or misplaced tools easier to identify. The wider range covers sockets, spanners, screwdrivers, pliers, torque tools, bits, cutting tools and storage.
